This Privacy Policy explains what information Staffy World (staffyworld.com) collects, how it’s used, and the choices you have. Staffy World is run by Steven Cahill in Victoria, Australia. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us: if you use the contact form or leave a comment, we collect your name, email address and message. Comments may be checked by an automated spam-detection service.
  • Usage information: like most websites, we automatically collect information such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages visited and how you arrived at the site. This is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.
  • Cookies: small files stored on your device by us and by third parties, described below.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics and Jetpack Stats to understand how visitors use the site, for example which pages are popular. Comments

When you leave a comment, we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus your IP address and browser user agent to help detect spam. An anonymised string created from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check whether you use it. Gravatar’s privacy policy is available at automattic.com/privacy. Comments and their metadata are kept indefinitely so follow-up comments can be approved automatically.
